inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) emphasized that Operation Ketupat 2026 is not only focused on securing the Eid homecoming and return traffic, but is also a humanitarian operation that touches all community activities, including at tourist destinations.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Operation Ketupat 2026, Brigadier General Tjahyono Saputro, during a visit to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) area in East Jakarta on Monday (3/23/2026), to ensure the safety and comfort of people enjoying the Eid holiday.

According to collected data, the number of visits to TMII is showing a positive trend. There were 16,500 visitors recorded the previous day, with a total of 54,000 people during the Eid holiday. This number is expected to continue to increase as the holiday season progresses.

"Operation Ketupat is not only focused on securing the Eid homecoming and return traffic, but is also a humanitarian operation aimed at ensuring that people can carry out their activities safely and comfortably," said Tjahyono.

He emphasized that the presence of police personnel at various locations, including tourist attractions, demonstrates their commitment to providing the best possible service to the public.

"We want to ensure that people visiting tourist attractions can enjoy their holiday peacefully. Our personnel are on standby to provide a sense of security and ensure the situation remains conducive," he continued.

Furthermore, the police also urge the public to prioritize safety during their vacation and during the return journey.

"We remind the public to always be vigilant, maintain their physical condition, and comply with the rules and instructions of officers in the field. Safety is paramount," he emphasized.
