inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police thwarted the trafficking of 102.2 grams of methamphetamine in the Grogol area of West Jakarta.
The bust was made at approximately 10:50 a.m. on Semeru Raya street, in front of the Berkah Mandiri Elektronik store, Grogol Petamburan District.
Head of Unit 4, Sub-Directorate 3 of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Investigation Directorate, Police Senior Inspector Rumangga, stated that the investigative team arrested a man identified as ERI (22) suspected of involvement in narcotics abuse and trafficking.
Investigators seized a plastic bag containing 102.2 grams of methamphetamine from the suspect.
He explained that the contraband was hidden in a cardboard box wrapped in black plastic with "Fragile" tape and placed inside a red paper bag. Investigators also seized a brown Oppo mobile phone.
"On Monday, March 2, 2026, we successfully arrested a drug criminal suspected of possessing methamphetamine, identified as ERI, with 102.2 grams of methamphetamine as evidence at the crime scene in the Grogol Petamburan area of West Jakarta," he said on Wednesday (3/4/2026).
Rumangga stated that the perpetrator and the evidence have been taken to the police HQ for further investigation. He urged the public to stay away from drugs, as they are detrimental to the nation's future.
"Therefore, we will follow up on any drug-related violations we discover and trace them all the way to the dealer," he explained.
