inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Bekasi City Sub-regional Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit has named three suspects in the alleged embezzlement of the TikTok account balance belonging to content creator MVK, also known as Vilmei.
The preliminary loss in this case is estimated at IDR 1.28 billion. The three suspects, identified by their initials as ZK, also known as Z, ASR, also known as A, and L, are currently being detained for further investigation.
The Head of the Bekasi City Sub-regional Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Assistant Superintendent Verdika Bagus Prasetya, stated that the suspects were named after investigators obtained the results of their investigation and inquiries into the alleged misuse of access to the victim's TikTok account.
"Based on the investigation and inquiries, we have named three suspects. All three are currently in detention, and investigators are continuing to investigate the transaction flow and the possible involvement of other parties," Verdika said in Jakarta on Thursday (9/3/2026).
The police began investigating the case after receiving a report from the victim on August 25, 2026.
During the investigation, police discovered that suspect ZK, known to be the victim's employee, had direct access to a device connected to Vilmei's TikTok account.
This access was allegedly misused to transfer US dollar assets derived from various activities on TikTok, including affiliate programs, sales of sponsored products, and digital gifts from live broadcasts.
"The funds were then diverted to purchase TikTok coins and sent back as gifts to accounts controlled by ZK and accounts associated with ASR and L," said Verdika.
The gifts received were then allegedly disbursed through several digital wallets and bank accounts.
Based on an internal audit and a review of the victim's transaction history, the estimated loss is IDR 1,282,915,000.
"We are still investigating this figure as investigators are also tracing the accounts of other recipients," Verdika stated.
The police are still developing their investigation to unravel the entire flow of funds and trace the possible involvement of other parties in the case.
