Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Traffic Corps has introduced 17 new applications to streamline accident response during Operation Lilin 2024, covering the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
Brigadier General Raden Slamet Santoso, the Traffic Corps Director of Law Enforcement, said on Wednesday (26/12/2024) that the system includes tools like the Jasamarga Integrated Digitalmap (JID) and integrates CCTV, Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE), and the Integrated Road Safety Management System (IRSMS). These tools aim to improve data collection and incident handling.
"We've also equipped each regional police with traffic accident analysis tools and emergency air ambulances for swift response, especially in remote toll road areas," he added, as quoted by antaranews.com..
The new technology is designed to ensure rapid intervention during the "golden hour" of an accident, where prompt action can prevent fatalities. As part of the operation, 141,605 officers are securing over 61,000 locations, ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow through the holiday period.
