inp.polri.go.id - Jombang. Police confirmed the discovery of a body with a wound to the neck, suspected to be caused by a sharp object. The body was found in the Mrican Kanan secondary canal, Turipinggir Village, Megaluh District, Jombang.
Jombang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Ardi Kurniawan, stated that his team is still investigating the discovery of the male body. He said the body was found face down in the river when it was found.
"Based on information from the public, we found the body of a man aged around 30 in the Mrican River area, Turipinggir Village, Megaluh District. The victim was found face down in the river," he explained on Monday (4/14/2026).
He stated that a crime scene investigation (TKP) had been conducted. An examination revealed another wound on the victim's cheek in addition to the neck.
He revealed that the unidentified male body is currently being treated at a hospital in Jombang for further examination. An autopsy was also performed to determine the exact cause of death.
"There are suspected wounds on his neck and cheek. We have taken him to a hospital in Jombang for an autopsy to determine whether the victim died of natural causes or whether there was a suspected crime," he said.
