inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Manpower, Afriansyah Noor, believes that digital technician skills have significant potential to expand job opportunities and strengthen the skills-based economy.
"Many technicians now work independently in various digital industry sectors, thereby creating new jobs and strengthening the skills-based economy," explained Afriansyah on Tuesday (4/21/2026).
Furthermore, Afriansyah stated that skills-based skills, particularly in the digital sector, are crucial for workers, especially the younger generation, to master.
Therefore, he emphasized the importance of skills improvement (upskilling and reskilling) amidst rapid technological developments.
"Use this momentum to prove that Indonesian technicians are capable of competing and excelling," said Afriansyah.
Moreover, he encouraged the continued development of competitions and integration with the national training system and competency certification so that technicians' abilities are recognized both nationally and internationally.
