inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate will summon and seek clarification from the owner of the Toyota Alphard that went viral after running a pedestrian light and allegedly using fake license plates in Central Jakarta.

The Head of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police's Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate, Superintendent Ojo Ruslani, explained that in addition to the vehicle owner, the police will also summon the security officers involved in the altercation with the Alphard driver at the scene.

"I will summon the Alphard owner for clarification, and then summon the security officer involved in the altercation with the driver. The summonses will be issued on Friday (7/24/2026) and Monday (July 27)," Ojo said in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

Ojo explained that the questioning was carried out following a viral social media post showing the luxury car running a pedestrian light.

After separate initial questioning, both parties will meet for a confrontation at the Law Enforcement Sub-Directorate office.

"The investigation will cover all aspects of the incident, from the chronology of events, the validity of documents and vehicle license plates, to determining the articles of traffic violations and criminal charges that can be charged," he said.

He also committed to acting neutrally and transparently as a mediator in handling this case without taking sides.

"We will not be biased. If an Alphard driver violates a traffic light, they must also be sanctioned. Likewise, if there is a violation on the security officer's part, they must also be sanctioned, at least a warning," Ojo said.

Previously, a viral video circulated on Instagram via the account @jakpus24jam.id showing a Toyota Alphard running a red light and getting into an argument with a security guard.
