The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo received a visit from the Secretary General of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and the Secretary General of ITUC Asia Pacific (AP) at INP Headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (11/10/2025).
This meeting represents a collaboration between the two parties in ensuring the protection and welfare of workers in Indonesia.
"This visit is intended to foster camaraderie and strengthen collaboration between the ITUC, labor unions, and INP in an effort to provide protection and improve the welfare of workers," said Sigit.
Sigit explained that INP have been committed from the outset to continuously protecting workers' rights and resolving various issues faced by workers. Therefore, the Manpower Desk was established.
"To date, the Manpower Desk has collaborated with the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower, labor unions, and four companies in Cirebon and Brebes Regencies to re-employ 2,275 workers affected by layoffs. Going forward, there is potential for employment absorption of up to 70,000 people," said General Sigit.
Sigit emphasized that INP will continue to collaborate with the ITUC and Indonesian labor unions to jointly strengthen the protection of workers' rights.
"To support the creation of a conducive and equitable labor climate," concluded the INP Chief.
