Inp.polri.go.id - Bandung. The West Java Regional Police have implemented strategies to manage potential traffic congestion during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays, focusing on tourist destinations and high-traffic zones.
West Java Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Jules Abraham Abast emphasized their commitment to ensuring public safety and smooth travel.
"We are closely monitoring conditions and coordinating with local police units to handle any situation effectively," he said on Sunday (29/12/2024).
Tourist hotspots, particularly Ciwidey in Bandung Regency, are expected to see a significant rise in visitors during the holiday season. The West Java Police has instructed officers to implement traffic controls and preventive measures to avoid gridlocks in these areas.
Efforts include real-time traffic monitoring, rerouting vehicles as needed, and deploying personnel to manage congestion points. Coordination with regional units ensures a quick response to emerging issues.
“Our goal is to provide a safe and convenient travel experience for everyone during this holiday period,” Chief Abast added.
