Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police intensified vehicle access surveillance toward the Mandalika Circuit area ahead of the Pertamina Grand Prix of Indonesia (MotoGP Mandalika 2026), scheduled for 9 to11 October 2026.
West Nusa Tenggara Police Director of General Criminal Investigation Senior Superintendent Arisandi said that police coordinated closely with event organizer ITDC to verify specific security features and unique characteristics embedded within official parking passes to prevent the distribution of counterfeit VIP vehicle stickers.
"We have coordinated with ITDC regarding fake stickers to verify official characteristics," he confirmed.
The heightened security measures follow evaluations from previous race events, during which officers intercepted dozens of fraudulent VIP parking stickers at checkpoint posts such as the Sunggung Roundabout along the main access corridor to the circuit.
ITDC enhanced ticket and pass verification systems with specific holograms, barcodes, color coding, and unique structural design features. Tightened screening across access roads aims to ensure smooth traffic flow while maintaining regional security across the Mandalika Circuit during the international racing event.
