Inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. The Women and Children Protection Unit  of the Yogyakarta City Sub-regional Police has named five additional suspects in the child abuse case at Little Aresha Daycare, located in Sorosutan, Umbulharjo, Yogyakarta.

"Five additional suspects have been named: two kindergarten teachers, two caregivers, and one household staff member," said Head of the PPA Unit First Inspector Apri Sawitri on Monday (27/7/2026).

The suspect designations followed case reviews (gelar perkara) and extensive witness examinations. According to investigators, one kindergarten teacher allegedly committed physical abuse while another permitted the abuse without intervention. The two caregivers and household staff members are accused of participating directly in acts of violence against children under their care.

Formal summonses for the five newly named suspects are scheduled for Tuesday. This development follows earlier suspect designations, bringing the total number of suspects to 32, with 157 children identified as victims in the ongoing investigation.
