Jakarta – The Criminal Action Directorate of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency has revealed the distribution of Sabu-type narcotics weighing 50 kilograms (Kg) which is controlled by the Aceh, Medan and DKI Jakarta networks.
Head of the Public Relations Division of the Police of the Republic of Indonesia, Inspector General Argo Yuwono, explained that the disclosure of 50 Kg of crystal methamphetamine was a development of the case of arrest at Bakauheni Port on November 13, 2020. At that time, the police were four suspects with 25 kg of crystal methamphetamine and 58,606 items.
“The Directorate of Crime of the Indonesian National Police’s Narcotics Research Agency in collaboration with Customs and Excise on Monday, 28 December 2020, at around 11.00 WIB arrested 3 TSKs, recipients of goods with the initials DHU, FF and S in Medan City, with evidence of 50 kg of crystal methamphetamine. wrapped in Chinese tea packaging, “said Argo in his written statement, Jakarta, Thursday (31/12/2020).
During the investigation process, the police received information that the transportation for the delivery of illicit goods was controlled by a person named David who was sent from Aceh to Medan and then circulated to Jakarta and other Java Islands.
“Then the team gave chase and succeeded in arresting Suspect H or a courier from Aceh at the Four Point Hotel, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Sei Sikambing, Medan Petisah, North Sumatra,” said Argo.
After arresting 4 suspects, said Argo, officers immediately pursued the AAFS suspect alias David, who allegedly played a role in arranging shipping transportation.
“Finally, the team on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at around 20.00 WIB was arrested by AAFS alias David at his hiding location on Jalan Merdeka, Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra,” said Argo.
“After being arrested by the police, suspect David admitted that the narcotics were controlled by a member of Tanjung Gusta prison with the initials KR. “And in the last 6 months we have made 6 deliveries to various cities, a total of 205 kg and 58,606 ecstasy pills with a delivery cost of Rp100 million per shipment,” said Argo.
After obtaining this information, investigators coordinated with the Directorate General of PAS to bring KR to Bareskrim Polri to undergo the investigation process.
The evidence that was secured included, among others, 50 Kg of Sabu with details of 25 wrapped in Green Chinese tea and 25 Yellow Chinese tea bags, two units of Polo brand luggage bags, two units of cars and two units of mobile phones.
