Papua – The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) again injured civilians in Papua. This time the KKB shot a civilian named Ramli in Bilogai, Intan Jaya Regency, Monday (8/2/2021).
Chief of Public Relations Department of Papua Regional Police, Police Senior Superintendent Ahmad Musthofa Kamal, confirmed the incident. He said the victim managed to survive, and his condition is now stable.
Previously, the KKB in Titigi, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, had a firefight with Yonif 400 / BR members on Thursday morning (4/2/2021). In that incident, one KKB member died.
The KKB’s brutality gave rise to fear in Papua. Until the Regent of Intan Jaya, Natalis Tabuni was rarely put on duty to fear being a KKB target. “The Regent of Intan Jaya had indeed admitted to being worried about staying in his area for a long time because of the threat of a KKB,” said The Chief of Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Paulus Waterpauw.
