Aceh – Directorate IV for Drugs Crime of Indonesian National Police (INP) revealed the smuggling of 353 kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine (Sabu-Sabu) from the Middle East-Malaysia-Aceh International network of 11 suspects who officers arrested.

Director IV for Drugs Crime of INP, Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, said that the abruption of drug trafficking was carried out in three different locations: The Matang Bangka Village, Blang Mee Village, and Meusanah Tambo Village, Jeunieb District, Bireun Regency.

“The time for the arrests was on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at around 06.00 WIB, and Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 14.30 WIB and 19.00 WIB,” said Brigadier General Krisno on Thursday (11/2/2021).

Brigadier General Krisno said that 11 people were arrested, namely KM (37) as the ship’s personnel, MD (23) as the captain of the boat, ES (35), and inmates from the Lhokseumawe MA Prison (36) as controllers.

“As the recipient of the goods, namely SI (50), SN (53), KR (23), IZ (40), MR (25), SY (63), and SB (41),” he said.

During the arrest at the first location, the evidence secured was 343 plastic boxes allegedly containing Crystal Methamphetamine (Sabu-Sabu) with a gross weight of 343,380 grams, one unit of Thuraya Satellite Mobile Phone, three teams of GSM Mobile Phones and ship documents.

“At TKP 2, 120.96 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine (Sabu-Sabu) were confiscated, one scale digital balance, and one white Nokia brand cellphone. At TKP 3, 6.66 kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine (Sabu-Sabu), 1 unit of Xiaomi brand cellphone, and 1 unit of the motorized tricycle. So that the total evidence of Crystal Methamphetamine (Sabu-Sabu) confiscated was 353 kilograms, “he said.

For their actions, they are suspected of Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 Subsidiary Article 113 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 more as a subsidiary of Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph 1 of Law No.35 of 2009 concerning narcotics.
