Guarded by the TNI-INP Joint Force, OPM No Longer Threatens Ilaga and Beoga Residents

The security carried out by the joint TNI-INP forces made the security situation in Ilaga and Beoga, Puncak, Papua Regency, Thursday (29/4/2021) conducive. There was no interference from the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) or better known as the West Papua National Liberation Army (TPNPB) of the Free Papua Organization (OPM).

Citizens in the two Districts, both Beoga and Ilaga, began to carry out activities as before. Such as in markets and health centers in Ilaga District, Puncak Regency.

Ilaga District Head Nius Tabuni said community activities in Ilaga Market were still safe and conducive, and there were no problems, and all activities were safe, and everything was conducive.

“The incident yesterday has passed, and now it is safe from yesterday onwards. The hope is that in the future, as the Head of the Ilaga District and Community, it will be safe so that it will be even more secure, peaceful, and so on, and there will be no more disturbing it,” said Nius Tabuni.

Public Relations Task Force Nemangkawi, Police Superintendent Arief Fajar Satria said that his party directly monitors community activities at Ilaga Market and Ilaga District Health Center, Puncak Regency. From monitoring on the ground, the security situation began to be conducive after the shooting, and the activities of Ilaga residents began to normalize,” said Arief Fajar Satria.
