Inp.polri.go.idJakarta. Greater Jakarta Regional Leader Coordination Forum held a meeting to discuss mass Eid reverse flow. The meeting was held at Jakarta City Hall Pola Room of Greater Jakarta Planning and Development Agency, Jakarta, Friday (14 May 2021).

In the meeting, Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Police Inspector General Fadil Imran, mentioned that about one million people leave Jakarta during the travel restriction, either by land or air.

There are 700 thousand vehicles crossed Cikupa Toll Gate and West Cikarang Toll Gate, as mentioned by Fadil. Meanwhile, there are 300 thousand homecomers using train and plane.

“Based on the crossing data of directorate of traffic security Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police, there were about one million people left Jakarta before the implementation of homecoming ban,” as explained by Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police at Jakarta City Hall, Friday (14 May).

Further, the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police Chief said that 100-200 thousand people travelled to their hometown though homecoming is prohibited.

He mentioned that Greater Jakarta Regional Leader Coordination Forum would develop a scenario to minimize the spreading of Covid-19. However, he did not mention any detail about it.

“This is why we take prevention steps on a community basis to streamline the 3T (testing, tracing, and treatments). We hope the situation in Jakarta is under control. We need to fight this together,” as said by the Chief Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Police. However, Fadli did not mention any detail about the plan.
