Chief of West Papua Regional Police, Inspector General Pol Tornagogo Sihombing through the Head of Public Relations, Police Grand Commissioner Adam Erwindi, asked all residents in Manokwari who carry out Eid prayer services to still refer to health protocols.

“Why is implementing this health protocol important as a positive step to stop COVID-19 spreading. So every Muslim who will perform worship is obliged to wear a mask, “Adam told the media in Manokwari.

In order to prevent that, he asked the committee to keep the rules of the shaft referring to health protocols. In addition, people must wear a mask.

“You must wear a mask and keep this distance to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. “You should obey the government recommendation,” Adam said.

In this case, Adam continued, in the implementation of the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, he was asked to apply a health protocol, namely maintaining distance or physical distancing, checking body temperature, wearing a mask and so on.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian National Police, together with the Indonesian Armed Forces and related institutions, will guard these places of worship to remind residents to comply with the health protocol.
