East Java Police Chief Accompanied the Visit of Head of Traffic Corps to East Java
inp.polri.go.id – Since the establishment of the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Police in March 2022, until this August, the Narcotics Unit has disclosed drug cases four times with 4 suspects.
From the four cases, two disclosures came from the investigation of the Narcotics unit and two others came from the Customs and Excise Office of I Gusti Ngurah Rai.
This was conveyed by I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport Regional Police Chief, AKBP Ida Ayu Wikarniti.
“The two cases from Customs and Excise I Gusti Ngurah Rai are purely the responsibility of us due to our current status. By changing our status to Resort Police, now we can handle drug violations and we do all the processes here,” said AKBP Ayu Wikarniti.
The four suspects with four different narcotics cases include the initials IMW (50) from Kerobokan, ASG (25) from Brazil, JJB (37) from the United States, and IKAS (32) from Ungasan.
IMW (50) was arrested on Wednesday 6 April 2022 in front of a billiards place in Kelan, Tuban, Badung.
The evidence secured from IMW was a plastic clip of methamphetamine with a gross weight of 0.50 grams or 0.31 grams net.
IMW will be charged with article is Article 112 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a penalty of 4 to 12 years, or a fine of Rp. 800 million to Rp8 billion.
