inp.polri.go.id - South Kalimantan. The South Kalimantan Regional Police General Criminal Investigation Directorate and 13 other police stations arrested 211 suspects in aggravated theft (curat), robbery, motorcycle theft (the 3Cs), and thuggery from January to June 2026.
"These hundreds of suspects are the result of intensive enforcement against various crimes that disturb the public," said Senior Superintendent Frido Situmorang.
Police confiscated various pieces of evidence from the suspects, including sharp weapons, motorcycles, cash, vehicle registration certificates (STNK), and other items.
Frido emphasized that the South Kalimantan Regional Police are committed to continuing to prosecute criminal cases that disrupt public safety.
In fact, all murder cases and high-profile cases that occurred during the first half of 2026 were successfully solved by officers backed by the South Kalimantan Mobile Brigade Tiger Team of the South Kalimantan Regional Police.
Investigators' analysis shows that most cases of assault and murder were triggered by alcohol consumption, leading to arguments and fatal violence.
He also emphasized that all Criminal Investigation Unit personnel must promptly follow up on any information or reports from the public so that disturbing crimes can be resolved through the legal process for the sake of justice.
