inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas handed over approximately 6.3 hectares of land to support the construction of the Community School, one of President Prabowo Subianto's priority programs.

"The land we are handing over is approximately 6.3 hectares. Hopefully, the land we are handing over today can be fully utilized as soon as possible, so that the school can immediately run," explained Andi on Thursday (6/18/2026).

He stated that the program is not only a flagship government program but also a constitutional mandate that requires the state to provide education for all citizens.

Andi emphasized that education is the right of every citizen, as stipulated in Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD 1945).

Furthermore, Article 34 of the 1945 Constitution also mandates the state to care for the poor and children in need of protection.

"Education is very important, and the state is obliged to provide education to improve the lives of the nation," Andi said.

Moreover, he stated that the government wants to ensure that children from underprivileged families have equal opportunities to access quality education and develop their potential.

"Today, the President wants to realize the rights of our children, education. And the state is here to guarantee it," said Andi.

On that occasion, he also appreciated the students who have participated in the Community School program. He believed that equal opportunities will open up space for every child to contribute to the nation's progress.
