inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Central Java Regional Police continues its efforts to ensure that children with congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV) receive appropriate medical treatment. As of Thursday (9/10/2026), 88 children with this condition are being tracked in several areas of Central Java.

Data collection is being conducted by Bhabinkamtibmas in conjunction with the Medical and Health Section at each police precinct. This step is being taken to ensure that children with CTEV are not overlooked and receive appropriate treatment.

The Head of the Medical and Health Division of the Central Java Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Agung Hadi Wijanarko, stated that data collection is the first step in ensuring that children with CTEV receive the necessary treatment.

"Treatment for CTEV must be initiated as soon as possible to get the best results," he said.

He stated that in addition to medical treatment, parental support and involvement are crucial factors in the success of therapy. Parents need to consistently follow the directions of medical personnel and carry out treatment according to the instructions given.

He explained that through this collaboration between various parties, the public can participate in this program free of charge, eliminating barriers for patients seeking treatment, especially those from low-income families.

Meanwhile, seven children with CTEV have received medical treatment and monitoring at Bhayangkara Hospital in Semarang.

The seven patients come from Salatiga City, Surakarta, Kendal Regency, Demak, and Semarang. Treatment is provided based on each patient's individual condition.

The treatment stages include examinations and therapeutic check-ups, the application of a cast for patients still undergoing leg correction, and medical follow-up for patients requiring further treatment.
