inp.polri.go.id - South Sumatra. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo inspected the readiness of infrastructure and personnel in response to potential natural disasters. This also aims to ensure the smooth flow of people travelling for Eid al-Fitr homecoming season.
The inspection of infrastructure and personnel was carried out following the "Nyago Bumi Sriwijaya Aman Bae" (Safe and Secure) roll call for motorcycle taxi drivers and workers at Bumi Sriwijaya Stadium in Palembang, South Sumatra, on Sunday (3/8/2026).
"We checked each vehicle one by one to ensure our services are up to date. Besides, we must also provide services to the public who will be returning home," said Sigit.
Sigit emphasized that weather factors and the potential for natural disasters throughout Indonesia are among the factors that his party and all relevant stakeholders will continue to monitor during the Eid al-Fitr 2026 homecoming and return journeys.
Therefore, Sigit instructed all police forces in Indonesia to remain alert and responsive to disasters. INP must provide the best possible service to the public.
"However, the weather is certainly also a factor that we must consider, and all our colleagues must be prepared to act quickly in responding to disasters," said Sigit.
During his inspection of South Sumatra, Sigit revealed that his staff were ready to provide the best service to the public. He hoped that travelers traveling home would feel safe and comfortable during their journey and reunite with their families during Eid.
"I see that everything is ready, and I hope this will provide the best service for the public, especially during the month of Ramadan. Hopefully, our colleagues' hope is that people can return home to meet their families safely and happily," Sigit concluded.
