During the patrol, officers apprehended two youths who were found carrying various types of sharp weapons and dangerous blunt weapons.
The incident began when the Patra Team of the Mobile Brigade Corps was conducting a routine patrol to anticipate disturbances to public order and security around P. Jawa street, Aren Jaya Village, East Bekasi District.
While passing through the area, officers encountered a group of youths behaving suspiciously, strongly suspected of preparing to engage in a brawl.
From the two arrested youths, officers confiscated several crucial pieces of evidence intended for the violent act, including a golf club, a machete, a sickle, a modified sharp weapon, and a mobile phone suspected of being used to coordinate with the opposing group.
The Head of the Mobile Brigade Corps of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto stated that this firm action is part of the police's commitment to maintaining regional order through preventative and repressive means.
"We are moving quickly to anticipate potential clashes in public spaces, especially during the pre-dawn hours. This effort is being taken to ensure there is no room for street crime or brawls that could disturb the community," he said on Friday (6/5/2026)..
In response to this incident, the police appealed to all levels of society, especially parents, to tighten supervision of their children's activities at night to prevent involvement in street violence.
