Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Bali Regional Police responded to a travel warning issued by the South Korean Embassy on Thursday (9/4/2026), asserting that the "Island of Gods" remains a secure and stable destination despite recent diplomatic concerns.
"We understand the concerns raised, but Bali is safe. Our data shows a 23 percent decrease in crimes involving foreign nationals from January to April 2026 compared to last year," said Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya, as cited by antaranews.com.
In a direct rebuttal to the embassy's claims of rising serious crimes, including kidnapping and harassment in areas like Canggu and Seminyak, he highlighted the success of "Operation Sikat Agung 2026," which cleared 166 criminal cases earlier this year.
To further bolster security, the police launched the "Cakrawasi" Command Center in March, a real-time tracking system for foreign nationals integrated with hotel registries. Polda Bali has also intensified patrols in major tourist hubs and maintains a 24-hour multilingual 110 hotline to ensure international visitors can report incidents without language barriers, reinforcing that public safety remains under control.
