inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The President Director of the State Logistics Agency (Bulog), Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, invited the public to directly check rice stocks in warehouses as a form of information transparency and to ensure the safety and security of national food supplies.
"As part of our commitment to public information transparency, Bulog is opening up opportunities for the public to directly observe the condition of rice stocks in warehouses," said the Bulog President Director on Monday (4/20/2026).
He emphasized that this step is expected to strengthen public trust that the government's rice reserves (CBP) are managed professionally, transparently, and accountably, and are ready to be distributed equitably throughout Indonesia.
Bulog's absorption target this year is 4 million tons of rice equivalent, as an effort to maintain the stability of national food supplies and reserves. This target is higher than the previous year's target of 3 million tons.
"Absorption is being carried out directly by Bulog's Regional Offices and Branch Offices through a proactive approach, going directly to rice fields, harvesting points, and rice mills in various regions of Indonesia," said the Bulog President Director.
In line with the high absorption realization since early 2026, Bulog's warehouse occupancy rate has increased significantly. Bulog currently manages 1,540 self-owned warehouses with a total actual capacity of 3,061,484 tons, which have been optimized to support CBP storage.
To anticipate increased stock volume, Bulog has taken strategic steps to increase storage capacity through the utilization of affiliated (non-Bulog) warehouses.
To date, 1,254 affiliated warehouses with an actual capacity of 2,686,215 tons have been utilized to ensure all stocks are stored properly, securely, and evenly distributed across various regions.
Bulog's rice stock reached 4,881,105 tons of rice equivalent as of April 18, 2026. According to the Bulog President Director, this figure demonstrates excellent stock readiness to meet public needs and strengthens Bulog's role in maintaining the stability of national rice supply and prices.
