The South Sumatra Regional Police, through the Empat Lawang Sub-regional Police, celebrates with independence day through a social service initiative by distributing clean water and basic food supplies to the people of Sungai Lidi, Pasar Tebing Tinggi Village, Empat Lawang Regency.

The Empat Lawang Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Abdul Aziz Septiadi, distributed aid in the form of rice, eggs, and clean water to meet the basic needs of residents facing the prolonged drought.

For the people of Sungai Lidi, the clean water assistance is a significant support, as the prolonged drought has limited water availability for daily needs. The community welcomed the aid and police personnel with gratitude and appreciation.

The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Nandang Mu'min Wijaya, stated that the police serve the people by not only in maintaining public order and security but also assisting the community in addressing social issues in their communities.

"The momentum of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence serves as a reminder for all members of the police to continue strengthening their spirit of community service. This clean water and basic food assistance is a manifestation of the police's concern and presence among those in need," said Nandang Mu'min Wijaya.
