Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin met with high-ranking representatives from Jordan, Kuwait, and Singapore at the Ministry of Defense in Jakarta on Wednesday to strengthen international military education, joint training, and strategic communication.

"I emphasize that defense cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore is a vital part of maintaining regional stability," he said via social media on Thursday (7/6/2026) following his meeting with Singapore’s Chief of Army, Major General Cai Dexian, as cited by antaranews.com. 

He also highlighted long-standing ties with Jordan and Kuwait as foundations for expanding expertise exchange and defense resource development.

Beyond regional security, the discussions with Jordanian Ambassador Sudqi Al Omoush and Kuwaiti Ambassador Khalid Jassim Alyassin explored opportunities in military personnel training. 

Minister Sjafrie raised his optimism that these bilateral partnerships would solidify Indonesia’s defense posture while fostering a conducive environment within the global and regional landscape.
