inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Abdullah, a member of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), stated that the Indonesian National Police (INP) must thoroughly investigate the alleged drug trafficking case that implicated the Head of the Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Sub-regional Police, Police Senior Inspector Pardiman.

According to him, the case is a serious warning that drug eradication must begin with internal reform of law enforcement institutions. Law enforcement officers involved in drug crimes must be given severe punishment without exception.

"INP must thoroughly investigate this case. There must be no cover-ups, and there must be no special treatment for officers suspected of involvement in drug trafficking," he said in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/28/2026).

He stated that if found guilty, the individuals involved should not only be subject to ethical sanctions in the form of dismissal from the police institution, but should also be prosecuted criminally as a form of commitment to fair and impartial law enforcement.

The involvement of officers in drug networks can damage public trust and undermine efforts to eradicate drug trafficking. Therefore, the legal process must be carried out transparently and without giving preferential treatment to anyone.

"If proven involved, not only will they be dismissed from the police force, but they must also face criminal charges. There must be no tolerance for police officers involved in drug trafficking," said the law enforcement legislator.

The Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate of INP arrested the Head of the South Tangerang Sub-regional Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit, Police Senior Inspector Pardiman, in connection with an alleged drug trafficking case.

The Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate of INP, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated in Jakarta on Monday (7/27/2026) that Pardiman is suspected of involvement in drug trafficking, drug abuse, and abuse of authority in law enforcement.

Pardiman was arrested along with six of his officers and a member of the Aceh Regional Police.

Meanwhile, the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police stated that Pardiman was not involved in the investigation of his possession and distribution of 200 etomidate cartridges. The case is currently being handled by the INP Criminal Investigation Agency.
