inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Ahmad Sahroni, urged law enforcement officials to thoroughly investigate the Koplo pill distribution network disrupted by the Serpong Police, revealing the major dealer behind the case.

Sahroni stated that the investigation needs to trace the distribution network of approximately 46 million prescription hard drugs suspected to be controlled by a major dealer so that law enforcement does not stop the perpetrators on the ground.

He stated that uncovering the case, worth approximately IDR 230 billion, is a crucial step in protecting the public from the circulation of illegal hard drugs.

However, he also emphasized that case handling must not stop at the perpetrators on the ground.

"I appreciate the police's tactical measures that successfully disrupted the distribution of tens of millions of Koplo pills. Many lives have been saved as a result of this prevention," Sahroni said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday (8/7/2026).

He said the large amount of evidence indicates an organized distribution network, requiring authorities to trace the entire distribution chain to the main actors controlling the drug trade.

"Furthermore, I urge the police, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), and all relevant parties to thoroughly investigate the source of these illicit goods. I urge authorities to be able to arrest the major dealer and release his name to the public. This is because this has become too massive and far-reaching," Sahroni continued.

Previously, the Serpong Sector Police disrupted the distribution of approximately 46 million Prescription Drugs, with an estimated value of IDR 230 billion. The case began with an investigation into a vehicle suspected of transporting illegal hard drugs.

In this case, police have named two suspects, while another perpetrator remains on the wanted list.
