inp.polri.go.id - Central Jakarta. Police have uncovered a case of meth abuse in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. 

This disclosure began with information from the public who saw suspicious activity at the location.

The Tanah Abang Sector Metro Police Narcotics Criminal Investigation Unit's operational team moved quickly to follow up on the information on Friday (4/24/2026) afternoon. 

The raid was carried out near railway tracks, Kebon Melati Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Reynold EP Hutagalung, said that his team responds swiftly to every public report, including those that go viral on social media.

"As soon as we receive information, we immediately conduct an investigation and take action. This is a form of our commitment to eradicating narcotics," said Reynold on Sunday (4/26/2026).

In the raid, police arrested nine suspects with the initials AF, P, A, AFZ, NK, S, AF, F, and R. Two of them were caught using methamphetamine when investigators arrived at the location.

In addition, police also confiscated evidence in the form of a package of methamphetamine weighing 0.18 grams, dozens of methamphetamine smoking tools, pipes, modified lighters, and several mobile phones.
