inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Narcotics Investigation Directorate of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency (has uncovered suspected drug trafficking at the Five Stars nightclub in Denpasar, Bali, by the management of the venue.

The Director of Narcotics Investigation of INP, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the operation took place early Friday morning at around 12:40 a.m. by a joint team from Sub-Directorate IV and the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) of INP.

"Officers from the joint team arrested 53 people in the operation, identified as suspects and witnesses," Eko said in Jakarta on Friday (8/7/2026).

In addition, the joint team also confiscated various types of drug evidence.

Regarding the case and the chronology of the investigation, Eko stated that detailed information would be provided after the investigation was completed.

"Further information will be provided after the questioning of the suspects and witnesses is complete," he said.

Throughout 2026, INP uncovered drug trafficking cases at several entertainment venues.

In March 2026, INP uncovered a suspected drug trafficking case at a nightclub called White Rabbit in South Jakarta.

Then, in April 2026, the team also uncovered the illicit trafficking of ecstasy at a nightclub called N CO Living by NIX in Badung Regency, Bali.

Furthermore, in May 2026, the team raided a nightclub called New Zone in Medan, North Sumatra, on suspicion of drug trafficking.
