The e-sports competition, open to the general public throughout East Java, provided a platform for young people to express their talents and interests in esports on Thursday (5/28/2026).
The Head of the 2026 Esports Tournament Committee, Senior Superintendent Bimo Ariyanto, stated that the event demonstrates the police's positive approach to young people through creative and competitive activities.
"This tournament is expected to provide a space for young people to demonstrate their esports abilities while strengthening the relationship between the police and the community," said Bimo.
He explained that registration is free from June 1 to June 14, 2026, through each Police Station in East Java. After registration closes, all participants will participate in the regional qualifying rounds, which will be held from June 20 to 21, 2026, at their respective Police Stations.
According to Bimo, the top participants will advance to the grand final, scheduled for June 29, 2026, at the Mahameru Building of the East Java Regional Police.
"We estimate that hundreds of participants from various regions in East Java will participate in this tournament, given the current high level of enthusiasm among the esports community," he said.
The East Java Regional Police have also prepared a total prize pool of IDR 50 million, along with a trophy and a special award from the East Java Regional Police Chief, for the winners.
