Inp.polri.go.id - Lanu. East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko provided school equipment to Marciano Tefi, a student from Lanu Village, South Amanatun, whose story went viral after his father used charcoal to mimic socks before school.
The aid was delivered by South Central Police Chief superintendent Hendra Dorizen on Saturday (6/6/2026).
“We saw extraordinary spirit from Marciano to keep studying despite limitations, and the love of a father doing everything so his child could attend school. This touched all of us,” he said.
The assistance included a full set of school supplies such as uniforms, shoes, socks, bags, and stationery. Chief Hendar emphasized the program reflects the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to education and social responsibility.
Authorities encouraged communities to support children’s education, ensuring no student loses learning opportunities due to economic hardship.
