inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Immigration and Corrections Agus Andrianto reminded all ministry employees under his leadership not to be involved in criminal acts, including drug trafficking, as severe sanctions are ready to be imposed.

"Don't destroy your own pot by committing wrongdoing and violating the law. You must safeguard the good name of this institution, and you already know the punishment for involvement in drug trafficking," said Agus on Monday (4/27/2026).

Agus stated that currently, 365 employees at the Ministry of Immigration and Corrections have been prosecuted for violations while on duty, including involvement in drug trafficking within prisons and extortion.

"These employees are currently undergoing their sentences, and we guarantee a severe punishment. We must ensure that this case does not happen again to others," he said.

He also instructed all heads of prisons and detention centers to make optimal efforts to ensure that there is no drug trafficking within their institutions.

Furthermore, prison heads and heads of detention centers are urged to treat people in prisons with respect, providing guidance so that inmates have hope for life after serving their sentences.

"Correctional institutions are currently transforming into homes for people who have strayed from the path of justice, enabling them to obey the law and return to good deeds," said Agus.
