Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has assured taxpayers that the government will not re-examine assets previously disclosed through the Voluntary Disclosure Program (PPS), also known as Tax Amnesty Volume II.
"Basically, what has already been disclosed in the tax amnesty will not be dug up again. Moving forward, taxpayers should simply pay according to their business developments as usual," he said during a media briefing at the Ministry of Finance in Jakarta on Monday (11/5/2026), responding to recent statements from Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto, which caused concern among participants regarding potential audits.

To prevent further public confusion, Minister Purbaya announced a policy shift that only the Minister of Finance will be authorized to announce tax policies, while the Directorate General of Taxes will focus solely on execution,, according to antaranews.com.
The Minister firmly said that he has no intention of implementing any future tax amnesty programs during his tenure, emphasizing the need for consistency and legal certainty to maintain taxpayer trust.
