Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced Monday (6/4/2026) that the government will urgently repair the Coretax system to eliminate third-party "jockeys" who have recently swarmed social media offering tax filing services.
"We will fix the system so that Coretax is user-friendly and no longer requires intermediaries," he said during a press briefing, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The Minister acknowledged that current design flaws have made the web-based platform difficult for the general public to navigate, creating a market for "jockeys" and unofficial software interfaces.
Despite discovering the loophole less than a month ago, the Ministry is prioritizing a simplified user experience to protect the data of over 17 million taxpayers who have already activated their accounts. Recent reports on platforms like Threads showed services being offered at low rates to struggling taxpayers, prompting a regulatory response to ensure system integrity and direct compliance.
