Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Military (TNI) announced on Tuesday (1/4/2026) that four military personnel have been officially designated as suspects in the acid attack against KontraS activist Andrie Yunus.

"They have been named suspects and are currently being held in military detention facilities," said Major General Aulia Dwi Nasrullah, the Head of the TNI Information Center, as cited by antaranews.com.

The suspects are members of the Strategic Intelligence Agency (BAIS) TNI, identified as Captain NDP, First Lieutenant SL, First Lieutenant BHW and Second Sergeant Class ES

The suspects have been in custody since 18  March2026, under the strict supervision of the Jakarta Military Police. TNI Police are continuing to gather evidence and question witnesses to ensure the legal process adheres to military law.

The case has triggered significant shifts within the military hierarchy. As a form of institutional responsibility, the TNI Headquarters confirmed that Lieutenant General Yudi Abrimantyo has officially handed over his position as the Head of BAIS.

"This handover of the Kabais position is a direct consequence of the ongoing investigation into the assault on Andrie Yunus," Chief. Aulia added during a press conference at TNI Headquarters in Cilangkap.
