inp.polri.go.id - Tuban. President Prabowo Subianto groundbreaks on 10 National Police Food Security Warehouses and launched the operation of 166 Indonesian National Police Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) in Tuban Regency, East Java, on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
This activity is part of strengthening national food security and supporting the implementation of the Free Nutritional Meals Program (MBG) in various regions of Indonesia.
On that occasion, President Prabowo inaugurated the construction of 10 Type 654 Indonesian National Police (INP) Food Security Warehouses, each with a storage capacity of up to 1,000 tons.
The warehouses are located in several strategic areas: West Sumatra, Riau, and South Sumatra (two units), Bengkulu, Banten, West Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi (two units), and North Maluku.
In addition to the food warehouse construction, INP also launched the operation of 166 SPPGs in various regions of Indonesia to support the fulfillment of public nutrition needs and the implementation of the MBG Program. The SPPG units are operational across several regional police forces, including the Banten Regional Police (39 units), the North Sumatra Regional Police (17 units), the Central Java Regional Police (16 units), the Jakarta Metropolitan Police (14 units), and the MBG Task Force (8 units).
In his report, the INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that food security and the provision of nutritious food are crucial for building the nation's future. Therefore, his institution strives to play an active role in supporting government programs.
"As mandated by the President during the inauguration of INP SPPG in Palmerah, West Jakarta, producing food and nourishment is the continuation of civilization. We understand that food provision is a crucial foundation for building a healthy, strong, and competitive generation. Therefore, synergy between all elements of the nation is necessary," said General Sigit.
Meanwhile, in his remarks, President Prabowo expressed his appreciation to the government, the Indonesian Military (TNI), and the Indonesian National Police (INP) for their continued work to maintain national stability and support various strategic government programs, including those related to food and public nutrition.
"With all due respect, they played a key role, they are part of our team, with whom we are working hard to lead this country, govern this country, safeguard this country, safeguard our people, safeguard all of our people's wealth," the President said.
