inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated that his ministry has prepared several hospitals for referrals for victims of the train collision in Bekasi, West Java, should they require further treatment.
Budi expressed his sadness over the incident and hoped that the victims being treated would recover.
"We will help them. If they need referrals, if their injuries and trauma require further treatment, we can refer them to the PON Hospital (National Brain Center) or RSCM," said the Minister of Health on Tuesday (4/28/2026).
He mentioned that many of the victims are currently being treated at Jakarta government hospitals.
"If they need mental health care, treatment, our mental hospitals and the RSJ. Dr. Soeharto Heerdjan is in Jakarta and can help them," continued Budi.
Previously, there was a collision between a Commuter Line train and a long-distance train at East Bekasi Station, West Java, on Monday (April 27).
According to data from PT KAI at 8:45 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), the train and train accident at East Bekasi Station resulted in 14 deaths and 84 injuries.
