inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) signed a Grant Agreement and Joint Workplan for the WHO Biennium 2026–2027 as a strategic step to strengthen the development and resilience of the national health system.

"Through this agreement, WHO Indonesia provides funding support of US$14.8 million in the form of cash grants, goods, and services to support the implementation of health programs during the Biennium," said the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Health, Kunta Wibawa Dasa Nugraha, on Thursday (2/19/2026).

Kunta stated that this collaboration supports the implementation of health programs aligned with the WHO 14th General Programme of Work, the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan, the 2025–2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and the six pillars of health transformation.

According to him, WHO's support has contributed significantly to strengthening promotive and preventive efforts, improving the quality of health services, strengthening the health resilience system, and developing evidence-based health policies.

"The signing of the Grant Agreement and Joint Workplan for the 2026–2027 Biennium is a strategic step to ensure WHO's continued support for national health development priorities. This collaboration is a crucial foundation for strengthening a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable health system," explained Secretary General Kunta.

He emphasized the Ministry of Health's commitment to optimizing the implementation of the Joint Workplan through close coordination with all technical units receiving grants.

Secretary General Kunta hopes WHO will continue to provide technical and policy support, particularly in strengthening the capacity for program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to align with the Ministry of Health's key performance indicators.

"The signing of this agreement is expected to accelerate the implementation of agreed activities and have a tangible impact on improving the health of the Indonesian people, while simultaneously supporting the achievement of national health targets and sustainable development goals," said Secretary General Kunta.
