inp.polri.go.id - Bengkulu. The Bengkulu Regional Police held a press conference regarding the disclosure of 3C crimes (theft, robbery, and motorcycle theft) that occurred within their jurisdiction. 

In his statement, Bengkulu Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Yudhi Sulistianto Wahid, stated that 3C crimes remain the main public concern as they target property and disrupt public security. Based on collected data, 324 police reports related to 3C cases have been handled by the Bengkulu Regional Police and its affiliated police.

The analysis shows that aggravated theft  cases occur most frequently in residential areas from morning to afternoon. Meanwhile, robbery and motor vehicle theft frequently occur on public roads at night, especially in locations with minimal surveillance. 

"This finding serves as a basis for us to intensify patrols, map vulnerable areas, and strengthen prevention and enforcement measures," said Yudhi.

In solving these cases, police successfully secured several pieces of evidence, including two cars, 12 motorcycles, 10 cell phones, IDR 55 million in cash, 29 sacks of NPK fertilizer, one laptop, one electric bicycle, 90 packs of cigarettes, and other items suspected to be the proceeds of crime. 

One notable case was the arrest of a motorcycle theft suspect with the initials BS, a repeat offender, who was apprehended less than five hours after the report was received on May 25, 2026.

Yudhi emphasized that his police force will continue to increase police presence in the community through patrols at vulnerable locations and during high-risk hours, as well as professional and firm law enforcement.
