inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate has uncovered a drug trafficking operation under the guise of a coffee shop in the Mustika Jaya area of Bekasi City, West Java.

Police Senior Inspector Mokhammad Fatoni, Head of Unit 2, Sub-Directorate 3, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, explained that the operation, which took place on Sunday (June 14) at 3:00 PM, resulted in the arrest of a man.

"We arrested a man with the initials MR (26) on Sunday (6/28/2026) at 3:00 PM WIB in Bekasi," said Fatoni on Tuesday (6/30/2026). He explained that the sting operation began with a public report.

"People were suspicious of activity at a roadside coffee shop that was frequently used as a venue for illegal drug transactions," said Fatoni.

Following up on this information, the operational team then conducted a thorough investigation and ultimately conducted a raid at the location in question.

From a search of the crime scene, police seized a total of 693 ready-to-distribute hard drugs. The confiscated items included 445 Tramadol pills, 128 Hexymer pills, and 120 Trihexyphenidyl 2 mg pills.

In addition to the hundreds of hard drugs, officers also seized several other items, including two empty plastic resealable packages, a cell phone, a black bag, and a notebook allegedly used by the perpetrator to record sales transactions.

"We also confiscated IDR 330,000 in cash, suspected to be the proceeds from the illegal drug sales that day," said Fatoni.

To be held accountable for his actions and undergo further investigation and development, suspect MR and all evidence have been taken to the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police HQ.
