Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Directorate General of Immigration has identified 15 sponsors responsible for bringing 320 foreigners involved in an international online gambling syndicate to Indonesia, who were detained during a major raid in the Hayam Wuruk area of West Jakarta on Saturday.

"We have identified 15 guarantors or sponsors responsible for the presence of these foreign nationals in Indonesia," said Director General of Immigration Hendarsam Marantoko in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/5/2026), as cited by antaranews.com. 

He said that the immigration office’s civil servant investigators hold the authority to prosecute both the foreigners and their sponsors for immigration-related crimes.

The 320 suspects, who are currently being held at the Jakarta Immigration Detention Center, include suspects from Vietnam, China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, and Cambodia. 

Immigration authorities are currently conducting a joint investigation with the Indonesian National Police (INP) to probe deeper into criminal activities. While the foreign nationals face deportation and criminal charges, one Indonesian citizen arrested in the same operation is being processed separately by the Criminal Investigation Agency.
