Inp.polri.go.id - Katingan. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency has arrested a notorious drug lord and his accomplices following a violent attack that resulted in the deaths of three police officers in Tumbang Kalemei Village, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan.

"Three drug kingpins who also carried out the attack and murder of three narcotics investigation unit members from the Katingan Police,have been successfully arrested," Director of Narcotics Investigation Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso announced on Thursday (9/7/2026).

The three suspects were identified as Bio, Perie, and Ramblan alias Busu.

The ambush occurred during an anti-narcotics enforcement operation conducted by the Katingan Police Narcotics Investigation Unit. In the immediate aftermath, a joint manhunt spearheaded by the Criminal Investigation Agency's Narcotics Investigation Center (NIC) Task Force tracked down and apprehended the fleeing perpetrators.

Katingan Police Chief Superintendent Dodik Hartono confirmed that three of the five individuals involved in the ambush have been formally designated as suspects. Investigators are currently prioritizing charges related to premeditated murder and fatal assault, with separate charges expected to be appended as the processing of the crime scene and evidence continues.
