INdonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has instructed police personnel to boost the quality of public services following the inauguration of several residential barracks and operational facilities for the East Kalimantan Regional Police (Polda Kaltim) in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Monday (18/5/2026).
"Our hope is that these new facilities will boost motivation for all serving officers, enabling them to deliver superior public services to the community," he said in an official release published by antaranews.com
The INP Chief highlighted that reinforcing police infrastructure is vital to support security operations and public safety, particularly within the buffer zones surrounding the new capital city, the Capital of Nusantara (IKN).
Strategically situated roughly 30 minutes from the core IKN territory, these installations are designed to allow rapid response deployment to back up government operations and maintain local stability.
