inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo released 22 containers of humanitarian aid to victims of natural disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"This afternoon, we dispatched 22 containers to be distributed to disaster-affected communities in Sumatra, including Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra," said Sigit at the North Sumatra Regional Police Headquarters on Saturday (2/14/2026).

Sigit hopes this activity can ease the burden on all communities affected by natural disasters. He stated that this assistance will be tailored to the urgent needs of all victims.

According to Sigit, the 22 containers of humanitarian aid will benefit approximately 40,000 people. This demonstrates police's commitment to continue assisting the people, especially those affected by disasters.

"Starting from food, clothing, then groceries, medicine, and other essentials. This is part of our efforts to continue caring for our communities still affected by disasters," said Sigit.

Sigit further explained that this humanitarian aid also demonstrates the state's presence for the victims of the natural disaster in Sumatra.

"This is also a manifestation of the state's presence, and in accordance with the President's orders, we will continue to take steps to resolve this," Sigit said.
