The Indonesian National Police (INP) Corruption Eradication Corps and the Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police seized 74 kilograms of gold bullion and cash in various currencies totaling approximately Rp 476 billion during a high-stakes raid at a residence in the Parahyangan Golf 2 area, Sentul, Bogor Regency, on Wednesday.
The INP Corruption Eradication Corps Chief Inspector General Totok Suharyanto confirmed that all seized assets were found secured inside a large, locked safe on the property.
"A locked safe was found, and once opened, it contained 7 suitcases," he disclosed during a press briefing early Thursday morning (9/6/2026). "The first contained 74 kilograms of gold bars. Then USD 4,767,300, SGD 14,083,800, and Rp100 million. The total estimated value in rupiah is 476 billion."
The enforcement action is tied to an ongoing multi-year probe into systemic state corruption, bribery, gratuities, and money laundering.
In addition to the gold and cash, investigators confiscated several physical documents, mobile phones, and family photographs found inside the home to help identify the true owner of the hidden assets. Authorities have not yet officially released the identity of the homeowner or the public officials implicated in the asset seizure.
