inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Traffic Directorate of the South Kalimantan Regional Police officially launched the Safety Driving Center (SDC), a modern facility designed to improve the driving skills and ethics of the public in South Kalimantan.
The inauguration ceremony on Wednesday (4/8/2026) was attended by the Head of the Traffic Corps of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, the Chief of the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Inspector General Rosyanto Yudha Hermawan, and other senior officials of the South Kalimantan Regional Police and related staff.
The inauguration by Agus also signified a shared commitment to improving traffic security, safety, order, and smoothness in South Kalimantan.
In his statement, the Head of Public Relations for the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Adam Erwindi, explained that the presence of this training center is part of the police's commitment to reducing traffic accidents through education.
This facility is expected to become a driving education center that can reduce the number of traffic accidents in South Kalimantan.
Rosyanto expressed his highest appreciation to the INP Chief and the Head of the Traffic Corps for their support in the construction of SDC in Bumi Lambung Mangkurat. He also expressed his gratitude to the South Kalimantan Provincial Government and the South Kalimantan Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD) for their collaboration in ensuring the success of this program, initiated by the Director of Traffic for the South Kalimantan Regional Police, Senior Superintendent M. Fahri Siregar.
"We hope that the presence of the SDC in South Kalimantan Province will improve traffic discipline, especially among the people of South Kalimantan," Rosyanto stated to the media.
Furthermore, he emphasized that the primary focus of the SDC operation is to reduce the fatality rate. With standardized training and education at the SDC, the public is expected to develop better driving skills and a heightened awareness of the law on the road.
