inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Indonesian National Police (INP) International Relations Division, through the National Central Bureau (NCB) Interpol Indonesia, is collaborating with the Bali Regional Police to locate two associates of British red notice subject Steven Lyons (45), who were detected in Bali.

Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia's International Relations Division, stated that his team had been informed by representatives of the Spanish Civil Guard's Central Operational Unit (ECO Málaga) that Lyons' two associates were also part of a dangerous criminal network.

He revealed that Lyons arrived in Bali with two associates, Steven Larwood and Lewis Wang, although he stated that he did not know them.

"However, we are still searching for these two individuals because they are not on the red notices. However, based on information from our Spanish colleagues, they are also members of a dangerous criminal group," Untung said in Denpasar on Tuesday (3/31/2026).

According to Steven Lyons, the two individuals were simply acquaintances who happened to be traveling in Bali on March 28, 2026, at the time of his arrest.

Steven Lyons told investigators that he was only on the same flight from Dubai to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport.

"He (Steven Lyons) said the two people were his friends and that he was traveling here with his family. And he met them on the plane. They weren't the ones who left Dubai with me. That's his statement," he said.

The two foreign nationals hold Scottish passports. The Bali Regional Police and Interpol have issued a wanted list for the two foreign nationals.

Immigration has added the two foreign nationals to the travel ban list.

"We've also requested information, and I've already told Immigration to take action to ban the two. Two are still in Bali, and we're also monitoring their movements; they haven't left Bali yet," he said.

Untung also suspects that Steven Lyons likely came to Bali not only to support tourism, but also to assess the Indonesian market for drug trafficking.

"They probably came to Bali for a second trip, perhaps to see what the network in Indonesia looks like. Thank God, they were caught early. (The network was uncovered.) That's a suspicion," he said.
