Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) said on Sunday (19/4/2026) that the new "Jaga Desa" digital platform will serve as a vital monitoring tool to ensure the integrity and accountability of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) initiative across Indonesian villages.

"The integration of the Jaga Desa application adds an essential layer of supervision, ensuring our service units operate with the highest standards of transparency," said BGN Head Dadan Hindayana, as cited by antaranews.com.

Developed by the Attorney General’s Office in collaboration with the Ministry of Villages, the app monitors the utilization of public funds, including the 93 percent of the BGN budget disbursed directly to village service units. Beyond financial tracking, the system requires units to upload daily menus, nutritional data, and pricing to prevent embezzlement. This digital synergy allows the Audit Board and the public to monitor program quality in real-time, safeguarding the flagship welfare project from legal irregularities and corruption.
